Academic Booster drive underway
Ada Academic Boosters launched its 2017-18-membership drive at the start of the school year. It seeks volunteers to assist in several activities held during the school year.
“The boosters is a volunteer organization that recognizes and encourages our children’s academic achievements in grades Kindergarten to high school seniors,” said Tracie Amburgey, booster president.
There are several volunteer opportunities during this school year. Some of these include providing snacks for academic events, volunteering at book fairs, and working concession stands at various Ada athletic events.
The boosters work on many academic “extras” during the year. They provide support for book fairs, academic letters, honor roll assemblies, elementary recess equipment, the purse raffle and spelling bee and geography medallions.
A complete list of extras is on the membership drive application, attached at the bottom of this story.
