#25 Volleyball wins Illinois Wesleyan Classic title with victories over DePauw (Ind.)

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — The No. 25-ranked Ohio Northern volleyball team claimed the team title at the Illinois Wesleyan Classic with a pair of victories on Saturday.
The Polar Bears (6-2 overall) began the day with a 23-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-23 win over DePauw (Ind.), who received the 27th-most votes in last week's AVCA Division III poll.
Northern them edged Aurora (Ill.) 25-16, 22-25, 25-23, 24-26, 15-9 in a thriller to finish 3-1 in the tournament and claim the crown.
Ohio Northern senior All-American Megan Nieszala (Lambertville, Mich./St. Marys Catholic Central ) and sophomore Chelsea Huppert (Bremen, Ind.) were named to the All-Tournament Team.
Sophomore McKenna Jordan (Toledo/St. Ursula) had 17 kills and Huppert added 14 kills in the win over DePauw (6-1).
Details of the victory over Aurora (Ill.) will be posted when they become available.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Wednesday evening with a 7 pm match at area-rival Bluffton.
