SPENCERVILLE - The short-handed Ada cross country teams competed at the Spencerville Invitational last Saturday morning.
"We had small teams due to the fair and other various events going on this weekend, so we only had eight kids run at Spencerville," explained Ada head coach Joshua Klein.
Hunter Wells placed 70th in a field of 138 with a time of 20:37.9 to pace the Bulldog boys. Jacob Morgan finished 90th with a time of 21:52.1 over the 3.1-mile course.
The Ada girls fielded a full team, including Abbie James and Olivia Ennis. The Lady Bulldogs finished 10th out of 11 teams.
James led Ada, placing 44th of 132 runners with a time of 23:21.6. Courtney "Coco" McLaughlin came in 74th in 25:25.0.
Alexis Ennis finished 86th in 26:20.1 while twin sister Olivia Ennis ended up 95th in 27:04.9.
