ADA — Ohio Northern junior Joseph Schulte (Copley) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 3-9.
He earns the honor for the first time in his career.
Schulte led the Polar Bears (3-1-1 overall) to the ONU Invitational title and a perfect 3-0-0 week.
The junior scored a goal in all three of Northern's victories during the week and added an assist in ONU's 2-1 victory over Wittenberg on Sept. 6.
Schulte currently leads the team and ranks second in the OAC with three goals and seven points.
The Polar Bears return to action Wednesday, Sept. 13 as they play the nightcap of a double header with the women's soccer team and take on Ohio Wesleyan at 7 pm at Kerscher Stadium.
