Patricia Ann Watkins, 1946-2012
Patricia Ann Watkins, 66, died at 9:34 p.m. April 20, 2012, at Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus.
She was born Jan. 30, 1946, in Harlan County, Ky., to Rossevelt and Louise Jones Crider, who preceded her in death. On April 20, 1985, she married Raymond Richard Watkins Sr., who survives in Ada.
Patricia participated in the family business, 1st Class Siding and Windows. She attended Crossroads Church of God, Lima. She was a member of Reunion Baptist Church, Knoxville, Tenn. Her favorite things to do were spending time with family, playing bingo and working in her flower gardens, and she loved going dancing.
Survivors also include a daughter, Donna Louise (Chuck) Rue, of Cincinnati; a stepdaughter, Lisa Marie (Kenny) Myers, of Ada; a stepson, Raymond Richard (Jonnica) Watkins Jr., of Lafayette; four brothers, Gary (Sheila) Crider, Larry (Lucy) Crider and Harold (Jean) Crider, all of Knoxville, Tenn., and Oscar (Mitzi) Crider, of Dayton; a sister, Delta Ruth (Verlin) Sharpe, of Michigan; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her dog, Sparkle.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada. The Rev. Karen Rarey will officiate. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
