Bureta Collins, 1924 - 2017
Bureta Collins, age 93, died on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 6:21 p.m. at the Wyngate in Lima, Ohio.
She was born on May 1, 1924 in Carver, Kentucky to Warren and Cordelia (Caudill) Bailey who preceded her in death.
On February 16, 1946 Bureta married Curnie Collins who preceded her in death on May 30, 1993.
Bureta retired from North Electric Company of Kenton in 1976 after working for ten years as a wire assembly line worker.
She was a member of the Ada Full Gospel Church and attended the Quickstep Pentecostal Church of God.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Collins of Ada; three grandchildren: Lori Rainsburg-Crabtree, Catherine "Cassie" Collins and Jennifer "Jenny" Collins; and two great grandchildren: Shaylee and Richard.
Bureta was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Rainsburg on March 15, 1998.
Her seven sisters: Alice Sloas, Berniece Dotson, Mallie Whitaker, Martha Bailey, Marea Bailey, Myra Bailey and Kathleen Collins; and her four brothers: Cline Bailey, Dorsie Bailey, Richmond Bailey and Joseph Bailey.
A graveside service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 11, at Preston Cemetery Alger, Ohio with Pastor Robert Dye officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 11, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Ada Full Gospel Church, 1047 State Route 235, Ada, Ohio 45810.
