The Icon takes off our hat to Ada's community leaders
By Monty Siekerman
This is a series of 2017 Icon photos of Ada leaders, both in the community and university. Ada is a fortunate village to have a good relationship, at least at the present time, between the town and gown – people working together for the good of all.
This is not an exhaustive photo essay of all Ada leaders, but merely some of the movers and shakers in this town caught by the Ada Icon camera in the past year.
There are the apparent perennial leaders: the ONU president and his wife, the mayor and village administrator, the fire chief, police chief, but by the same token there are individuals who are very supportive working behind the scenes, such as Ruth Roider, JoNell Hanratty, Kevin Mierzejewski, Anita Dearth, Sandy Neely, Cathy Cole, village council and library and park board members, Jon Umphress, Karen Ward, Wynn Hauenstein, Deb Curlis, leaders of the VFW and Ada Schools, and many others.
We take our hats off to you for your good efforts and to the others not pictured who make Ada more livable, distinctive, and a good place to call home.
