Men’s tennis begins in February, indoors, of course
The Ohio Northern men's tennis team will begin its spring schedule indoors with five matches in February under second-year head coach Mike Bonnell.
The Polar Bears will travel to Albion, Mich., on Feb. 10 for matches with Albion and Olivet (Mich.)
On Feb. 17, ONU will play road matches at both Franciscan and Washington & Jefferson (Pa.) before returning home to face Penn State-Behrend on Feb. 25 at the Westwood Tennis & Fitness Center in Lima.
Ohio Northern will then travel to Hilton Head Island, S.C., for its annual spring break trip March 3-11.
Northern then returns up north to host Trine (Ind.) on March 18.
The round-robin Ohio Athletic Conference schedule gets underway on March 24 when ONU hosts Heidelberg and non-conference foe Ohio Wesleyan in Ada.
The Polar Bears will wrap up their OAC slate on April 21 with matches against Muskingum and Marietta as part of the OAC Tennis Fest at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason.
A match at Mount Vernon Nazarene concludes the regular season on April 28.
The OAC Tournament gets underway with the quarterfinals on May 1 on campus sites. The semifinals and finals are May 4-5 at the Lindner Center in Mason.
