Lady Bulldogs rally past McComb

McComb - The Ada girls basketball team overcame an early 14-point deficit and rolled to a 64-48 non-league win at McComb Saturday afternoon.
With their second straight victory, the Lady Bulldogs improved to 4-9.
McComb raced to a 17-3 lead, but then Ada scored 37 of the next 44 points to pull away and win.
"It is the best we have played all year," said Ada head coach Bill Taflinger.
Senior Maddie Gossard led the Bulldogs with 18 points on six three-point goals, and added 10 rebounds. Junior guard Raina England contributed a strong game with 15 points, five assists and five caroms.
Senior Anney Archer amassed 18 points and five steals.
The Bulldogs trailed 17-5 after the first period, but rallied with a big 23-7 second quarter to lead 28-24 by halftime. The visitors lengthened the lead to 45-35 and outscored the Panthers 36-24 after intermisison.

Ada (3-2 road) resumes league play Thursday, January 18 at Crestview.
