Molinaro is OAC Athlete of Week in men’s track
ONU senior Matt Molinaro (Sterling Heights, Mich./DeLaSalle) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 29-Feb. 5 for his efforts at the Camel City Elite Races in Winston-Salem, North Carolina during the weekend.
Molinaro earned the honor for the second consecutive week.
The senior had a strong showing at the JDL Fast Track as he finished third overall in the 800-meter run and was the first collegiate athlete to cross the finish line.
Molinaro bested his collegiate counterparts in Div. I-foes Stefano Migliorati and Ryan Hastings in the event, finishing in 1:51.71. His time is currently the fastest time in the country among Div. III competitors.
The Polar Bears return to the track on Saturday afternoon as they travel to Westerville to compete in the All-Ohio Championships, hosted by Otterbein University.
