Ada Library plans monthly movie matinees and first up is To Kill a Mockingbird
The Ada Public Library is adding monthly movie matinee to it's schedule, according to Amanda Bennett, director. The movies will fluctuate between family friendly and more adult offerings.
The first is Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2 p.m. The movie will be To Kill a Mockingbird. This movie is based on Harper Lee's best selling novel of the same name; stars Gregory Peck as Atticus Finch, a small town lawyer who takes on racism in 1930's Alabama.
My Big Fat Greek Wedding will be the February offering. It is a funny look at the Greek American experience; a Greek woman struggles to come to terms with her heritage and cultural identity as she is also falling in love. The movie was written by and stars Nia Vardalos.
