Norma Jean Moore, age 72, died on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 5:35 a.m. at Vancrest of Ada..
She was born on December 19, 1945 in Lima, Ohio to Will and Junnie (Brown) McIntosh. They are both deceased. On March 16, 2009 Norma Jean married Hazard Moore and he survives in Alger. She was previously married to Norman Rovelle Cruson and he survives in Lima.
Norma Jean was a homemaker. She loved to go camping and spending time with her friends and family.
Also surviving are: 2 sons, Robert (Lora Johnson) Cruson of McGuffey and Stephen (Linda Green) Cruson of McGuffey; 1 daughter: Angela (Richard) Shirk of McGuffey and a sister: Revel Conley of Ada; 4 grandchildren: Olivia Cruson, Eric Cruson, Paul (Taylor) Lay, Jr. and Alexandra Shirk and 1 great grandson: Orion Moore; step children: Phyllis Howell of Kenton, Kenneth (Penny) Moore of Kenton and Tim (Tammy) Moore of Mt. Victory; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son: Jeffrey Rovelle Cruson and 4 sisters: Bonnie Eversole, Wanda Stevens, Myrtle Dunson and Hattie Castle.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 28, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger with Pastor Marcus Brown officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
