Anita S Krummrey, 1947 - 2018
Anita S. Krummrey, age 70, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at home surrounded by her family in Belle Center, Ohio.
She was born on November 30, 1947 in Lima, OH to the late Walter W. and Molly R. (Salyer) Wies. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Larry Krummrey, whom she married on August 22, 1970.
Anita was retired from Benjamin Logan Schools as the Assistant Treasurer. Following her retirement, she worked for H&R Block for nine years. She was a 1965 graduate of McGuffey High School. Anita never met a stranger and will always be remembered for her friendliness and generosity. Spending time with friends, telling stories, cooking and entertaining were all things she enjoyed. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to Maine and South Carolina. In her retirement, she took up golf and spent hours playing in leagues and with Larry and her friends. One of Anita’s greatest joys in life was being a grandma to her eight grandchildren whom she loved “a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.” She spent her entire life putting others before herself. She will be deeply missed by all those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
Also surviving are her daughter and son: Lisa (Justin) Wolf of Upper Arlington and Matthew (Libby) Krummrey of Plain City; eight grandchildren: Drew, Paige, Avery, Riley, and Marin Wolf, Megan, Molly and Colby Krummrey; and 2 sisters: Pam Conley of Belle Center and Sherry (Steve) Prine of Ostrander.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada with Rev. Anthony Krummrey officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada and until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the James Cancer Center (for Leukemia research and/or patient support) and/or St. Rita’s Hospice.
