Materials are stored nearby for phase one of the Willeke Street project which will get underway next week. Phase one, from Ackerman Street to Orders Avenue, will include new water and sanitary sewer lines, rebuilding of Willeke, curbs, gutters, and sidewalks. A state grant will pay for about half of the cost. The remainder will come from local government funds and assessment of the adjoining property owners. The project will cost about $1 million.
