OAC honors two men’s lacrosse players
ONU junior Andrew Markell (Missouri City, Tex./Ridge Point) and sophomore Cameron Marous (Brecksville) swept the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week awards.
Markell was named the OAC Defensive Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week, while Marous earned the OAC Offensive Athlete of the Week honor for the second time this season.
Markell allowed only one goal in 80:12 of action and stopped five of six shots on goal in Northern's two victories during the week.
The junior played the first 38:36 in ONU's shutout victory over Muskingum, helping ONU to its first shutout in program history.
Marous was impressive again offensively as he had a hat trick with three goals and six assists in ONU's win at Wilmington. Marous also posted a 2-goal and 4-assists.
