Ada senior Chase Sumner signed a letter of intent to wrestle at the University of Pittsburgh Monday morning at the high school gym.

Sumner was a three-time state qualifier in the Div. III Ohio state wrestling meet in three different weight classes, finishing as high as fourth. He set the Bulldog mat program record for career wins with 151. He also holds the Ada records for pins, takedowns, near falls and total points.

He also was an all-state receiver for the Ada football team. Sumner also considered offers from the University of Buffalo and Ohio Northern University. Pitt is a Div. I scholarship program in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
