Lady Bulldogs seeded 2nd in tourney draw

ELIDA - The Ada softball team was seeded second out of 10 teams in the Div. IV Elida district drawings held Sunday.
The Lady Bulldogs (11-6) were seeded behind only league foe Columbus Grove, with dangerous Wayne Trace ranked third. Ada received a first round bye.
The Lady Bulldogs will host the winner between Kalida and Continental on Thursday, May 10 in the sectional finals at 5 p.m. Kalida was seeded eighth and will visit seven seed Continental in the first round on Monday, May 7.
The winner of the sectional finals will play the Wayne Trace/Miller City victor in the Div. IV district semis Tuesday, May 15 at 6:30 p.m. at Elida. MC was seeded sixth.
The district finals will be Friday, May 18 at 5 p.m. in Elida.
The winner advances to the regional semis at Findlay Wednesday, May 23 vs. the Bryan district winner at 5 p.m. The regional finals are slated for Saturday, May 26 at noon.
The state final four will be in Akron Firestone Stadium.
