Virginia M. "Ginny" Fleece, 1924 - 2018
Virginia M. “Ginny” Fleece, age 93, died on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 9:28 a.m. at Kenton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on May 30, 1924 in Hardin County, Ohio to the late Carl and Leota (Austin) Ford. On January 13, 1946 Virginia married Albert Eugene Fleece and he preceded her in death on August 15, 2002.
Ginny retired from Elevator’s Mutual Insurance of Lima where she worked as a secretary. She also raised chickens and sold the eggs commercially. Ginny was a member of the Roundhead United Methodist Church and its women’s group. She was a member of the Grange. She enjoyed knitting hats and then donating them.
She is survived by her three sons: Joe (Bonnie) Fleece of Belle Center, Gary (Pat) Fleece of Grove City and Jerry (Carol) Fleece of Lima; ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Maxine McMichael of Spencerville.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Newly.
Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 18, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada with Pastor Ted Bible officiating. Burial will be in McDonald-Fairview Cemetery, Kenton.
Friends may call two hours prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 18, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Roundhead United Methodist Church.
