Wow! Richards 18th in the world
Following another outstanding performance in the 800-meter run, senior Emily Richards (Delaware/Hayes) climbed the list nationally and internationally in the 800-meter run this past weekend.
Richards was .05 seconds off of her Div. III collegiate record and personal best time as she ran a blazing 2:00.67 this weekend at the 2018 Music City Distance Carnival in Nashville, Tenn.
The senior won the race and saw her stock rise in the event on the international and national levels.
Richards moved into fifth place in the United States in the race, and now ranks 18th in the world in the event.
She is scheduled to compete in the United States Track & Field Championships in the event in Des Moines, Iowa on June 21 at 2:20 pm.
