Ada Historical Society Special Meeting Notice
The Ada Historical Society will hold a special meeting on at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, July 30 at the Ada Public Library, 320 N. Main St. All of those interested are welcome to attend.
Officers of the Society attended Village Council last Tuesday to discuss the possibility of the group using the village-owned Depot as an Ada history museum.
Council members asked several questions about the Society’s proposal, including what would happen to those who rented the Depot in the past for meetings and social gatherings. Council members also asked about what would happen on all-community occasions when the Depot is open for events, such as the Halloween parade and Football Festival.
Historical Society officers and members plan to further discuss the proposal at the July 30 meeting. If the Society does not nix the idea, officers and members will return to Council on Tuesday, Aug. 7 with answers to the questions raised by council members.
