Icon dog of the week - Bullet
Meet Bullet. He is a boder collie mix. Bullet is 5 years old. He is waiting for his forever home.
To give a dog a forever home, contact the Hardin County dog shelter. It is located at 49 Jones Road on the west side of Kenton.
We have new hours of operation:
Monday 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.
Tuesday and Thursday - closed
Wedneday 12 p.m.- 6 p.m.
Friday 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Phone: 419-674-2209.
Generally, about 20 to 25 dogs are available for viewing.
The shelter is also the place to contact for giving up a dog, if you find a lost or stray dog, or if you come in contact with a vicious dog. It costs $20 to surrender a dog, which pays for deworming and immunizations for when it is rescued.
Starting August 6th ALL dogs at the shelter can be adopted for just the purchase of a dog tag at $16. This includes spay/neuter and microchip. This special will last until August 24. Please see our shelter hours and stop out to see the dog you wish to take home. $16 is the total cost to take home your new forever pup!
Call the shelter if you would like to volunteer to walk dogs, help with fundraisers, etc. The shelter does not deal in cats.
For more information, check out "Hardin County Dog Shelter" on Facebook. Their Facebook page shows more dogs that are available as well as those that recently were rescued.
Each week, the Ada Icon posts a picture of an available dog, perhaps one that will become a loving companion to you
