Women’s soccer picked to win OAC
After claiming back-to-back regular season conference titles in 2016 and 2017, the Ohio Northern women's soccer team has been selected by the 10 Ohio Athletic Conference head coaches to claim the regular season title again this year. The team is ranked 8th nationally.
Last season, Northern won both the 2017 OAC regular season and tournament titles and posted a 20-2-2 overall record with an undefeated 9-0-0 mark in the conference loop.
The Polar Bears concluded their season with a trip to the NCAA tourney where they made the program's first appearance in a NCAA Division III Elite 8 match in school history.
Ohio Northern will open the regular season on Sept. 1 and 2 at the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational. ONU will face off against Hope (Mich.) in the opener Saturday.
