It’s a Poppy Day today, so Alice Cheney sells a poppy on behalf of the VFW Auxiliary to Karl Roider at the 302 Carryout this morning. The VFW began Buddy Poppy Day before there was a Memorial Day. The poppies are assembled by disabled and needy veterans. (Monty Siekerman photo)
