Ada spikers fight hard but fall on road

ST. HENRY - The Ada volleyball team lost at perennial power St. Henry Monday evening in four tough sets.
After suffering their first defeat of the young season, the Lady Bulldog spikers are now 2-1.
Ada won the first set 25-23, but then lost the next three by a 25-16, 25-8, 25-10 count.
"This is the first year that we have taken a set from St. Henry," said new head coach Kyleigh Tabor. "I’m extremely proud of how hard the girls worked; we had great defense and hustle. The girls never gave up and fought throughout the match."
Junior setter Sidney Gossard led the team in assists with 20, and she served three aces to go with five digs.
Senior Rilan Conley smacked 11 kills while classmate Raina England knocked down eight kills.
Sophomore Aubrey Madison came up with three blocks and senior Morgan Swick mustered 16 digs.
Sophomore Kendal Guagenti came up with eight digs and dealt three aces. Sophomore Miranda Wills contributed eight digs.
Ada hosts traditional non-league local rival USV Tueday, August 21.
