KENTON - The Ada girls soccer team lost 10-2 at county rival Kenton Wednesday evening.
The Lady Bulldog record fell to 1-1 with the defeat, while the Wildcat girls improved to 3-0 with the win.
Kenton jumped out to a 6-0 lead at halftime and cruised to the victory.
"They dominated the first half," said Ada head coach Doug Poling.
"They shot 19 times while we were unable to get any shots on their goal.
"The second half we played much better, generating some offense," he noted.
Kenton stretched their lead to 7-0 before the Bulldogs got on the scoreboard when freshman Julia Kamatali scored on a cross from junior Katie Butterfield.
The Wildcats then tallied two more goals to extend the lead to 9-1. Bulldog junior Ella Poling scored the second purple and gold goal from 18 yards out off another Butterfield assist.
Ada junior keeper McKenzie Long was credited with 17 saves in goal. Kenton put 29 shots on goal compared to five by the Bulldogs.
Hannah Holland scored six goals to pace Kenton, while Keelee Barrett netted two goals. Sidney Plott and Caitlin Tudor each added one goal to round out the Wildcat scoring.
