Lady Bulldog kickers fall to Coldwater

COLDWATER - The Ada girls soccer team was shut out 4-0 at Coldwater in a makeup match Tuesday evening.
The Lady Bulldogs fell to 3-5 with the defeat.
Coldwater scored all four of its goals in the first half.
"The first 15 minutes were evenly matched," said Ada head coach Doug Poling.
Coldwater then broke the scoreless tie to net the first goal by getting past the Bulldog defense for a breakaway shot.
The Lady Cavaliers then tallied three more goals before intermission.
"We made some adjustments at half, played much better the rest of the game and were able to limit their shots on goal while getting some quality runs toward theirs," said Poling.
Ada trailed Coldwater in shots on goal, 15-11. Bulldog keeper McKenzie Long had three first half saves but had to exit the match due to an injury.
Ella Poling served as goalkeeper in the second half and made eight saves as Ada shut out Coldwater after the break.
The Bulldogs play Wednesday, Sept. 19 at Van Buren.
