Ticket information for Gov. Kasich's State of the State address in Lima
Gov. John R. Kasich announced that a limited number of tickets to his 2013 State of the State address on Tuesday, February 19, in Lima will be distributed to the public via an internet lottery.
Interested individuals can register for the ticket lottery at:http://governor.ohio.gov/tickets/
Continuing a tradition he began last year at Steubenville’s Wells Academy, the top-ranked public school in the state, Kasich’s decision to deliver the State of the State outside the capital is again rooted in his desire to make state government more accessible to Ohioans and shine a light on communities across Ohio making contributions to the state’s success.
Kasich will deliver the speech at Lima’s Veterans Memorial Civic & Convention Center. The Center offers a spacious auditorium which allows for more Ohioans to attend.
Names will be collected until 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 14, and individuals selected for tickets by random lottery will be notified via e-mail by noon on Friday, Feb. 15.
