Ada soccer blanks Willard

WILLARD - The visiting Ada boys soccer team shut out host Willard 2-0 Wednesday evening in second round Div. III sectional tournament play.
The seventh-seeded Bulldog boys improved to 10-6-1 and advance to the district semifinals with the victory. The Crimson Flashes end their season 9-6-2 after the loss.
Ada seniors Chris Reyes and Brendan Sheridan netted the Bulldog goals. Jon Allen assisted on the goal by Sheridan.
Ada now advances to the district semifinals at Tiffin Columbian High School Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 5 p.m. vs. top seed Van Buren (16-2).
The Black Knights edged visiting Liberty-Benton 1-0 in their second round tournament match behind a second half goal Wednesday night.
The Knights shut out the Bulldogs 3-0 in Van Buren on September 20. The only VB losses this season came at Riverdale (2-1) October 4, and at home to Archbold (8-0) on August 21.
