Joanna Snyder named to the Capital One Academic All-America First Team

Senior women's basketball player Joanna Snyder has been named to the Division III Women's Basketball Capital One Academic All-America First Team in voting done by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
This is the first national recognition for Snyder, as she has been named Academic All-Region the past two seasons.
The mathematics and education double major is second on the team in scoring averaging 13.5 ppg and in rebounding at 6.0 rpg.
On February 13, Snyder became the 11th player in school history to score 1,000 career points.
She currently has 1,016 career points which is 10th most in Ohio Northern women's basketball history.
The No. 3 Polar Bears have won a school record 23 straight games and are 24-1 on the season. The 24 victories are also a school record.
ONU is the top seed in the OAC Tournament and will host either Muskingum or Wilmington in the semifinals on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the ONU Sports Center.
