Ada girls lose at Riverdale

MT. BLANCHARD - Visiting Ada lost to local rival Riverdale 51-22 in non-league girls basketball play Tuesday night.
The purple and gold dropped to 1-4 with the defeat, while the Lady Falcons improved to 4-4 with the win.
Riverdale led 15-7 after one period and extended the margin to 33-11 at halftime. The Falcons won half two, 18-11.
Bulldog sophomore Alexis Waugh led Ada with seven points. Freshman guard Kirsten Poling added six markers.
Bry Vanden Bosch of Riverdale led all scorers with 16 points.
Ada sank eight field goals and shot six for 11 at the foul line (55 percent). Riverdale canned 16 field goals and converted 16 of its 20 free throws (80 percent).
