Sheila A. Furry, 77, died on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, at 3:10 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health System. 

She was born on Oct. 23, 1941, in Lima, to Leo E. and Helen L. (Newman) Sibert, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 18, 1973 Sheila married Thomas E. “Tom” Furry and he survives in Lima.

Sheila was a homemaker.

She is survived by a son, Michael (Angela) Furry of Harrod; four step sons: Jeffrey (Sue) Furry of Florida, Carlton (Kimberly) Furry of Harrod, James (Linda) Furry of LaFayette and Derrol (Brenda) Furry of Sanford, N.C.; two step daughters: Katrina (Danny) Phelps of Jackson, Mich., and Kimberly Roberson of Lima; three grandchildren, sixteen step grandchildren and several great grandchildren; three brothers: Lee (Kathy) Sibert of Lima, Greg Sibert of Lima and Timothy (Mary) Sibert of Paulding; and two sisters: Donna Markley of Cridersville and Carol (Lowell) Smith of Hicksville.

Funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger with Pastor Gary Rummel officiating.  Burial will be in Auglaize Cemetery, Harrod.  

Friends may call two hours prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger.  

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
