Night to Shine prom event for people with special needs
Ohio Northern University students are assisting with the annual “Night to Shine” prom event for people with special needs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Feb. 8 at Lima First Church, 1660 Findlay Road, Lima.
It is anticipated more than 140 individuals will attend the event, and approximately 150 ONU students will be involved in the evening. They include students from areas such as Greek Life, Sigma Iota Epsilon management honor fraternity, the football team, religious life and education majors.
Each ONU student has a buddy for the event, and all come dressed in prom apparel for the big night out.
Nigh to Shine is an annual event sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation. This year, more than 650 churches in 50 states and 22 countries are involved. This is the fifth year for the event.
