Wide spread power outages affecting Ada
ADDED AT 9:50 A.M. - ADA PUBLIC LIBRARY CLOSED - NO POWER.
Major electrical power outages are causing disruptions in Ada this morning (Monday, Feb. 25).
Portions of the village are without power and late Sunday evening power lines were down on the 500 block of East Lincoln. Those lines have since been secured but power was not able to be restored until the winds subsided, according to a Facebook announcement by the Ada police department.
Ada schools are closed due to lack of power. In addition, the following message was released by the village at 8:39 a.m.:

The non-emergency village office phones are currently being affected by the power outage. Incoming calls are not able to be answered at this time.
The power outage seems to be affecting the north end (begining at the railroad tracks) of the Village. Outage information is available on the website for AEP Ohio: www.aepohio.com. The AEP Ohio Safety Hazard hotline is 1-800-672-2231.
Emergency calls for the Ada Police Department are currently being forwarded to the Hardin County Sheriff's office, and those calls can still be made by dialing 419-634-0010.
