The Ada wrestling squad competed in the 15-team Div. III sectional wrestling meet at Lima Central Catholic Friday and Saturday.

Junior heavyweight Noah Arnett finished fifth in the 285 lbs. division. He won two of his four matches, including the fifth-place bout, to end up 16-10 this season.

Arnett came in seeded fourth and received a first round bye. He lost by pin at 38 seconds to fifth-seeded senior Michael Aldrich of Spencerville in his first match.
After another bye, Arnett pinned freshman Trent Howard of Ben Logan in just 50 seconds. Arnett then lost to sophomore Jacob Graham of Wayne Trace in the next consolation round to fall into the fifth-place match.

Arnett then pinned Coldwater junior Jacob Cupp at 1:16 to capture fifth.
Ada sophomore Colton Biederman (0-3) also finished fifth in the 113 lbs. division by posting a 1-2 record at the tournament.

After a first round bye, he lost to second-seeded Gabe Sutton of Wayne Trace by pin. Biederman then got two consolation round byes before falling to Ethan Garver of Allen East by pin at 1:29.

In the fifth-place match, Biederman decisioned freshman Parker Mihm of Parkway, 12-4. He finished the season with a 10-21 record.

Bulldog junior Reece Evans went 0-2 at 152 lbs. to end up his season with an 8-13 mark. After getting a first round bye, he lost to eventual 152 lbs. runner-up Dylan Pitts of Columbus Grove by pin.

In the consolation bracket, Evans then fell by pin to senior Austin Smith of Wayne Trace.

In the 170 lbs. bracket, Ada junior Ethan Hull also went 0-2 after a first round bye.
Coldwater edged Allen East and Wayne Trace to win the sectional team title. Ada tallied 16 points to finish 12th.

The top four finishers in a weight class make it to the district event next weekend.
