Reverse raffle and March Madness coming soon
Ada Athletic Boosters are involved in two fundraisers this spring, according to the Booster officers. The first is a reverse raffle and the second is March Madness. Here are summaries of these events:
Reverse raffle
This is the 9th year for the reverse raffle. It takes place Saturday, April 6, at Crimson Lane.
Booster officers said, “We are very excited for the move to Crimson Lane. We currently have some extra tickets and a growing waiting list.
“If you are interested in purchasing a raffle ticket and would like your name on the list, please e-mail your name, address and phone number to [email protected] or text the info to Lisa Conley at 419-235-6562.”
Tickets are $100 each for a chance to win $10,000 along with various other prizes throughout the night.
Extra meal tickets may also be purchased for $20. Businesses or individuals interested in donating items to raffle or give as door prizes, e-mail [email protected] or call Conley at 419-235-6562.
March Madness
This fundraiser coincides with the men's NCAA March Madness tournament, which kicks off March 17 with Selection Sunday.
In the fundraiser, the Boosters will sell 100 squares. The square you choose will have a number vertically and horizontally.
For each game played, the Boosters will take the last digit of the score for the winning team (horizontally) and the last digit of the score for the losing team (vertically) and whoever purchased that square will win cash.
Each square costs $50 and payouts follows:
• Round 1 (32 games): $25/game
• Round 2 (16 games): $30/game
• Round 3 (8 games): $40/game
• Round 4 (4 games): $50/game
• Round 5 (2 games): $100/game
• Round 6 (1 games): $500
Total payout could be $2,500 and participants have a chance to win multiple times.
Persons interested in purchasing a square or have questions, contact Conley at 419-235-6562.
Athletic Booster officers are Scott and Bridgette Jones, Dave and Kim Nelson, Anna Poling and Lisa Conley.
