Bert Arlington was a retired foreman at Lima Ford Motor plant
Bert H. Arlington, 85, died on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at 3:25 a.m. at Vancrest of Ada.
He was born on Dec. 23, 1933, in Ivyton, Kentucky, to Harold “Harry” and Maxine (Howard) Arlington and they preceded him in death. On May 13, 1958, Bert married Doris A. Harman and she died July 28, 2011.
Bert retired as a foreman at Ford Motor Company, Lima. He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge F&AM #344 of Ada and a lifetime member of the Ada VFW Post #9381. Bert was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Surviving are three daughters: Lee Ann Hall of Melba, Idaho, April (Khris) Risner of Lima, and Paula Hoffman of Ada. Also surviving are three brothers: John “Jack” Arlington of Seale, Alabama, Jerald Arlington of Melba, Idaho, and Dwight Arlington of Kahlotus, Washington; nine grand children and16 grea-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son: John D. Arlington, two brothers: Harry D. Arlington and Arnold Arlington and a sister: Rebecca Russell.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Ada VFW Post #9381.
