Bulldog tennis stomps Lima Senior

LIMA - Visiting Ada spanked Lima Senior 4-1 Wednesday evening, with the Bulldogs playing many of its newcomers.
The Bulldog netters improved to 3-1 after the victory, while Lima Senior fell to 0-3 with the defeat.
Ada won all three singles matches easily in straight sets, losing just two out of 38 games.
Bulldog sophomore Miranda Wills improved her mark to 3-1 by winning handily at first singles.
Freshman Dexter Woods won easily at second singles in straight sets to notch his first varsity victory.
Junior Reece Evans, a tennis team newcomer, also picked up his first win at third singles without losing a game.
Junior Kendal Guagenti and senior Morgan Swick teamed up to win at second doubles. The duo rallied to grab a three-set win.
"It was a great team win against Lima Senior," said first-year Ada head coach Cody Hurley. "We had great contributions from some of our newcomers - Logan Conrad, Reece Evans and Kendal Guagenti.
"Singles had a strong showing as Miranda, Dexter and Reece won 36 of 38 games. Overall, it was a great day to e a Bulldog," he added.
Ada's undefeated top two singles players, Cade Mullins and Isaac Spar, sat out the match.

Ada is scheduled to play Wapakoneta Thursday. The Bulldogs visit Van Wert Friday, and then play at 2018 state semifinalist Lexington on Saturday.
