Three Johnny Appleseed program set in May
Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park Distict announces three programs in May of interest to Icon viewers:
- Area Horses & Harness 19th Annual Spring Plow Day on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Allen County Farm Park. Horses and antique tractors will be preparing the ground for spring planting.
- Wildflower Walkabout at Kendrick Woods on Monday, April 29 at 6:30 p.m. Enjoy the fleeting beauty of spring wildflowers, with a naturalist. This is an easy hike, but please wear appropriate footwear.
- Nature Pals: Spring Scavenger Hunt on Thursday, May 2 at 10 a.m. and again at 1 p.m. at the McElroy Environmental Education Center. This program is geared towards children, ages 3-5, accompanied by an adult. Part of this program will be outdoors, so dress appropriately for the weather. The park district requests you register for this event.
