The Ada Kiwanis Club presented its annual $500 donation to the Village of Ada for their tree-planting efforts at the Arbor Day celebration held on Friday morning, April 26, at the Ada Elementary School.

In presenting the check to the Ada Tree Commission, Ada Kiwanis President Joe Ferguson said, “It has been the privilege of the Ada Kiwanis Club to make this annual presentation for the past 39 years.”

The motto of Kiwanis International is “Serving the Children of The World.” “The membership of the Ada Kiwanis Club can think of no better way to serve the children and future adults of our community by making Ada more beautiful with the planting of new trees.”

2019 marks the 39th consecutive year the club has made the annual donation, bringing the grand total to $19,500 donated by the club for the village¹s Arbor Day efforts.

The Ada Kiwanis Club was chartered in March 1924.
