Football drops at 10
Here's an update on the Made in Ada Wilson Football Festival.
The 2019 festival is Saturday, Aug. 24. It celebrates Ada’s remarkable contribution to the sport of football, as all footballs used in the National Football League are made in Ada’s Wilson Football Factory. This is an Ada Area Chamber of Commerce event.
Event goers can watch footballs being made during the "Wilson Experience" and participate in activities at the Pro Football Hall of Fame exhibit.
There will be events throughout the day for football fans of all ages and interests.
Activities will begin with the annual Wilson Football Factory garage Ssale. A pre-season kick off football classic featuring Ohio Northern vs. Trine and Ada High School vs. Perry High School will be held as well as performances by the ONU and Ada marching bands.
Enjoy tailgating in Depot Park, learning about the latest game ball technologies from Wilson engineers, participating in game and activities, listening to Nashville Crush and watching the ball drop.
Schedule of events:
• 8 a.m. to noon – Wilson Football Factory Garage Sale, 217 Liberty Street, Ada
• 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. – Pre-Season Kick Off Football Classic, marching band performances and "Wilson Experience" museum, ONU Dial-Roberson Stadium
• 9:30 a.m. Ada Marching Band; 10 a.m. Ada High School vs. Perry High School; noon ONU Marching Band; 12:30 p.m. ONU vs. Trine
• 4-10 p.m. – Made in Ada Football Festival, Ada Depot Park
