Tennis fun night set Sept. 8
A tennis fun night celebration takes place in September as a recognition evening for the newly refurbed Ada Park tennis courts.
Bryan Marshall, a member of the committee that created the refurbing program, said the event is at 6 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 8, at the tennis courts.
“Kids and their parents are encouraged to come,” said Marshall. Adding, “don’t forget your tennis rackets and tennis shoes. There will be plenty of opportunity for tennis action on the courts that evening."
There will also be some prizes for youth given during the evening.
Marshall said that invitations will go to those who made financial contributions to tennis courts project. Supporter of the project will be recognized that evening.
In case of inclement weather, a rain date is 6 p.m., Monday, Sept. 9.

A community effort by a tennis courts resurfacing fundraiser started the tennis court upgrade.
The renovation project cost $66,075. The costs included $55,125 for an asphalt overlay and acrylic resurfacer, plus $10,950 to remove and replace fence fabric with tension wire.
Funding was from:
