Lydia Cranmer OAC women’s golfer of the week
Ohio Northern junior Lydia Cranmer (Farmington Hills, Mich./Ladywood) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for the week of Aug. 26-Sept. 2.
Cranmer won Medalist honors for the seventh time in her career to lead the ONU women's golf team to the team title at the ONU Fall Invitational on Saturday at Colonial Golfers Club.
The 36-hole tournament was shortened to 18 holes after play was suspended midway through Sunday's second round due to heavy rains.
Cranmer won the tournament for the third consecutive season and finished with a 2-over par 74, tying her career-best 18-hole round.
This marks the fifth time in her career that Cranmer has been named OAC Women's Golfer of the Week.
The Polar Bears will return to action Saturday-Sunday at the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational.
