ADA - The Ada girls soccer team whipped visiting Northwest Conference foe Paulding 10-0 Thursday evening.
The win improved the Lady Bulldog record to 2-4 overall and 1-2 in the NWC. Paulding fell to 0-5 overall and 0-2 in the NWC with the defeat.
"The majority of the game was played on our offensive end," said Ada head coach Doug Poling. "We dominated shots on goal."
After a scoreless opening 15 minutes, the Bulldogs broke on top when Katie Butterfield scored on a cross from Ella Poling. Poling made it 2-0 moments later when Ella Badertscher played a through ball to her.
Braelynn Dodge advanced the lead to 3-0 when she scored off another Poling assist. Bella East then sent a corner kick toward the goal that Timber Blankenship put into the back of the net.
Dodge extended the lead to 5-0 shortly before halftime on an unassisted goal.
Hailey Robirds knocked in a rebound that bounced out of the box early in half two. Poling added her second goal to make it 7-0. Robirds netted her second goal off a pass from Lauren Mullins.
East then found the back of the net on an unassisted goal. Brenna Hissong scored the 10th and last goal when she buried one into the back corner of the net.
Ada got off 47 shot to just three by Paulding. Sidney Gossard made three saves in goal for the victors.
Poling, Dodge and Robirds each netted two goals. Poling also doled out two assists. East, Badertscher and Mullins added one assist apiece.
