Ada Community Improvement Corp. meeting first hearing for block grant

The Village of Ada stands to be the recipient of a grant of up to $500,000 for its anticipated wastewater treatment plant.
On March 20, Roberta Acosta, senior rural development specialist, Ohio Rural Community Assistant Program ( RCAP), addressed members of Ada’s Community Improvement Corp. (CIC), telling those attending about the grant.
TheCIC meeting was the forum for the first of two public hearings for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application for construction of the plant.
A second hearing is at 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 23, in The Depot. The target date to submit Ada’s application is May 1.
Following Acosta’s presentation to CIC James Meyer and Angela Polachek of the village answered questions from CIC members. The next CIC meeting is April 17.
