KENTON - The Ada boys cross country team finished fifth at the five-team Hardin County Invitational meet hosted by Kenton Monday evening.

Hardin Northern won the team title with 45 points, barely edging Upper Scioto Valley (46) by a point. Kenton was third (53), Riverdale fourth (84) and Ada fifth (113).

Bulldog senior Hunter Wells ended up 14th in the 30-runner field to register the top Ada showing. He covered the 3.1-mile course in 20:50.5.

Ada's Seth Swaney finished 22nd and sophhomore teammate Riley Ferguson was 24th, followed closely by Connor Daugherty in 25th. Keegan Giddens was the fifth Bulldog runner in 29th

The average Ada time was 22:50.5.

Sophomore Aiden Gatchel of Hardin Northern won the meet in a time of 17:33.47. Joe Parker of USV finished second in 17:39.91.
