First-ever Christmas parade in McGuffey on Dec. 4

McGuffey is hosting their first-ever Christmas Parade on Wednesday, Dec. 4, in downtown McGuffey. The parade begins at 5:30 p.m., with activities to follow in the Community Room (behind the Post Office), 404 Courtright St. If you're coming from out of town, feel free to park at the school.

To see the parade, line up along Courtright Street (St. Rt. 195).

After the parade, Mr. & Mrs. Claus will be in the Community Room for pictures, Mr. Claus will read the Christmas story from the Bible to kids, plus indoor carnival games, free cookies, hot chocolate and hot apple cider will be available.

The event is hosted by McGuffey Memory Room, the local historical group established last year.

Parade entries, especially vintage cars and tractors, are still welcome (until Dec. 1), by contacting TJ Carter at [email protected]. Line-up for the parade begins at 5 p.m.
