Elzie Edward Elwood, 1933 - 2013
Elzie Edward Elwood, age 79, died Sunday, March 31, 2013, at 3:50 a.m. at Lima Memorial Health System, Lima.
He was born November 7, 1933 in Hardin County, Ohio, to Charles and Georgia M. (Williams) Elwood, and they preceded him in death.
Elzie worked at Field's Bakery, Ada and at the Ohio Northern University Food Service, Ada. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Ada.
Surviving is a brother, Cloyd Elwood of Ada; and several nieces and nephews. His caregiver was his niece Ruth (Paul) Lawrence of Ada.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Oliver Owen Elwood & Russell Eugene Elwood; and two sisters, Evelina Lucille Curtis & Martha Fern Conley.
A funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, with Pastor Jack Duffy officiating.
Friends may call 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
