FROM ONU ARTS AND DESIGN FACEBOOK –  Ohio Northern graduate, Bethany (Schreck) McCall (BFA/advertising design ’11) recently designed the Magic of Mentoring event for The Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern Pennsylvania.

TMP of Southwestern Pennsylvania helps children by delivering resources to mentoring programs throughout the region.

It also promote the importance of quality mentoring, present best practices and research, and deliver training, technical assistance and professional development for the staff and volunteers of local programs.

McCall said that she felt “very lucky to design for uplifting and impactful organizations."

She added that TMP of Southwestern Pennsylvania's Magic of Mentoring event was a bright, warm, and magical evening. "Every child deserves a caring mentor,” she said.

She began her design career after graduation in Chicago as the designer for Bubbles Academy, a leader in early childhood education.

She returned to native Pittsburgh to serve as designer within the Student Affairs' marketing team at The University of Pittsburgh.

Since 2017, Bethany worked as the Graphic Design Manager for the Carnegie Science Center. As an ONU student, she was inducted into Omicron Delta Kappa, Kappa Pi, Phi Kappa Phi, Lambda Phi Eta, and Alpha Lambda Delta.

Bethany was also active in the ONU/AIGA (The Professional Association for Design) and served as president, Core Group Leader: ONU President’s Club, Student Senate and served as secretary of Senate Activities, Special Events/Tour Guide for the ONU Department of Art & Design, and Delta Zeta Sorority.
