Ada cagers to compete in 3rd Border Battle

ADA - The Ada girls and boys varsity basketball teams will compete in the third annual Border Battle tournaments after Christmas hosted by Upper Scioto Valley.
The girls tourney will be held Thursday through Saturday, Dec. 26-28 at Upper Society Valley High School.
Ada (2-6) faces Waynesfield-Goshen (1-6) in the first semifinal game, Thursday, Dec. 26 at 6 p.m.
"Waynesfield will be physical and play hard," said Ada head coach Morgan Bass.
Allen East (1-5) and USV (0-4) then face off in the second girls semifinal Dec. 26.
The winners meet in the tourney title game Saturday, Dec. 28 ,at 3 p.m. The girls third-place game will take place Dec. 28 at 10 a.m.
Boys' tournament
The boys tournament is Friday and Saturday, Dec. 27-28 at defending champion USV. Ada (1-5) will play Waynesfield Friday, Dec. 27, at 6 p.m. in the first semifinal.
AE takes on USV in the second semifinal Dec. 27.
The boys third-place game is at noon Saturday, Dec. 28. The semifinal winners meet in the championship contest Dec. 28 at 5 p.m.
The events were originally scheduled to be at Allen East this year, but were moved to USV.
