Kyle Stuart competes on ONU women's 200 free relay
The Ohio Northern women's swimming and diving team fell to Division II Hillsdale (Mich.) 215-40 and Case Western Reserve 220-35 on Saturday at the Veale Natatorium.
Freshman Shelby Starkey (Bellefontaine) led the Polar Bears (4-5 overall) placed fourth in the 200 back in 2:16.90
Starkey was also part of the 200 free relay, which placed sixth in 1:45.71. Joining her were senior Kyley Stuart (Ada), sophomore Lauren Shaw (Port Clinton), and sophomore Megan Lubinski (Milford/Brighton).
Freshman Abby Schauer teamed up with Starkey, Stuart, and Lubinski for a seventh-place finish in the 400 medley relay in 4:18.50.
Schauer had another seventh place finish, touching in 1:04.51 in the 100 back.
Senior Katelyn Koebel (Port Clinton) was seventh in the 200 breast in 2:38.93.
The Polar Bears also had a trio of eighth place finishes.
Junior Marisa Taylor (Granite Falls, N.C./South Caldwell) touched in 2:21.99 in the 200 IM, junior Marisa Barton(Saint Charles, Mo./Duchesne) logged a time of 1:15.75 in the 100 breast, and Stuart finished the 50 free in 26.71 seconds.
Ohio Northern returns to the pool with the OAC Championships Feb. 13-15.
